We are looking for people who wish to work from home as regional community and content leaders. As such, providing regional events and resource links to members of their local community who are trying to conceive, are pregnant or already parents.
As a Guide, your mission will be to build a well-rounded informative and entertaining local site with up-to-date information that is relevant to your specific community. It will be up to you to craft a site that is informative, easy and fun to use, and truly reflects the personal needs of the new and expectant parents in your area.
A large part of your role as an independent contractor for BabyZone will be acting as the press, reviewing family oriented events and resources in your area and thus, creating original, informative articles, recommendations and reviews for your site and newsletters. Additionally, you're responsible for "marketing" your website both online and offline to increase traffic to your site and finally, selling your site to potential advertisers targeting parents in your community.
Our Guides are real parents or experts in their field; they are professionals, entrepreneurs, and stay-at-home parents, and they live throughout the world despite their differences, they all share:
- A dedication to building and updating a quality website
- A personal interest in pregnancy, parenting and family planning issues
- An interest in their community and events for children in their regional area
- The writing and editing skills necessary to create informative reviews, articles and newsletters.
- The ability to build a strong community using chats, newsletters & bulletin boards
- Web-savvy skills with plenty of experience online and an understanding of web marketing
- An interest or expertise in selling and marketing
- The desire to do all this at home
BabyZone is dedicated to serving parents and it depends on advertising to generate revenue. Regional Guides share a percentage of the advertising revenue generated on their "subsite" after they become a BabyZone partner as an independent contractor to build and market their regional site.
BabyZone provides you with an administration tool that allows you to administrate your site easily as well as training, support and manuals to help you make a success of your subsite.
Do you have what it takes to be a BabyZone Guide? Submit a brief writing sample describing your personal interest in guiding (be sure to indicate which region) as well as your resume to our BZRegionsContactUs@babyzone.com to find out!
