Home-based businesses
could be the answer
• ‘Finding the right home business … is
usually not instant’
The founder and president of HBWM.com Inc. (Home
Based Working Moms), Ms. Pyle says working at home helps moms
continue their professional pursuits but in a more flexible and
accommodating way.
Ms.
Pyle, whose pre-family career was in public relations and marketing,
says one of the toughest hurdles to clear for mothers starting
home-based businesses is marketing.
But
another is even more basic: Deciding what to do.
“The first one is deciding what they want to do,” she says in a CVBT
Audio Interview. “Finding the right home business … is usually not
instant. It’s not something you can just automatically start a
business and know it’s right for you.”
